Our History
Established as a humble photographic lab in 1982, EKTA was set up in a residential area in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Initially founded as a lab for commercial photographers looking to develop, enlarge, restore and compose images via our dark lab and enlarger services.
EKTA Lab is a full-service online photographic lab. Our 60,000 square feet facility and 80+ print specialists ensures consistent, beautiful print output for our most discerning clients.

Founded in a house in Cideng, Central Jakarta, Indonesia

Largest enlarger in Indonesia, capable of 1.2 x 2.4 meter ( x in inches) prints
- 1996
Invest in the first Durst Lambda Digital Imager in Southeast Asia. All through the 90s and 00s, we pioneered techniques in developing c-type digital prints for commercial and artistic applications.
- 2011
Fine art photography resurgence. EKTA Lab begins offering Giclée archival inkjet prints on Hahnemüle papers.
- 2015
Acquisition of 2nd Durst Lambda 130 printer and processor to keep up with demand
